Electronic Network Systems (ENS) to use Edifecs XEngine for HIPAA
transaction validation, compliance and testing.
Colorado Springs CO & Redmond, WA (Dec 4, 2002) –
Electronic Network Systems (ENS), a national healthcare e-commerce

Solution for transaction compliance and community enablement. As
part of the partnership ENS will use Edifecs XEngine to perform
testing and validation of all inbound and outbound HIPAA data.

paired with industry leading customer support. ENS delivers its

and thousands of companies for offline testing. XEngine’s deep content
and data validation spans all seven of the WEDI/SNIP testing types
including integrity testing, requirements testing, balancing, external
code set testing, product types testing, and trading partner specific
testing. Other features include acknowledgement generation, transaction
batching and the ability to convert between EDI data and XML and
visa versa. XEngine is supported on both NT and Solaris platforms.

validation & certification engine in the market.
“ENS fills in the gaps for our clients as it relates to HIPAA transactions
processing. Payers, practice management software vendors and providers
rely on ENS for HIPAA portal applications and transactions processing.
Edifecs helps ENS insure the compliance of transactions with all
trading and provides added piece of mind to all parties,” said Ana
English, President & COO of ENSHealth.

core competencies of both companies to provide a compelling value
proposition to ENS clients”, said Sunny Singh CEO of Edifecs.
